Easy! Membership means that you no longer have to sit in a waiting room, pay a co-pay, or meet a deductible. Regular primary care providers have, on average, 2500 patients, but The Health Carpenter will never have more than 500 patients. That is way more time to spend helping you! Also, membership includes a variety of health care services to exceed your needs. Membership also means savings on premium services.
The benefits of organizations like The Health Carpenter are that they remove the burdensome processes and restrictions imposed by insurance companies. Many times insurance companies require multiple visits before they agree to cover a procedure. At The Health Carpenter, health insurance dictates none of our care.
As a direct primary care family practice, we will take care of all problems within our practice scope. While we can help you save money and build a strong patient/provider rapport, we are not a substitute for health insurance. We strongly advise you to have health insurance that will cover any unexpected hospital visits, surgeries, or catastrophic events. After being evaluated, if we believe you need specialized care, we will ensure you get to the specialist you need.
There is no cancellation fee but we do have a 90-day minimum membership because we put a lot of time and energy into getting you on the right track.
We can provide a yearly health subscription that makes direct primary care available and affordable for patients without health insurance. Not everyone has the luxury of having a full-time job or benefits that offer them medical insurance. Also, we know that many have lost their jobs as a result of COVID-19. Luckily, there is no need to wait for the next enrollment period. At The Health Carpenter, you can enroll at any time of the year. Our monthly subscription is significantly cheaper than most insurance company premiums. There are also no co-pays with your visits, and no deductibles to meet. Insured patients with high premiums or a high deductible can save a tremendous amount of money with our plans. With some planning, you can choose to have a low premium at work and use the money you save to subscribe to our services. Additionally, if you have a high deductible or low deductible insurance plan, you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA) to pay for your subscription. As a subscriber, you also save 10% on all premium services.
Membership does not cover hospital care, so we strongly encourage you to have health insurance to cover you in the event of hospital admission, surgery, or other catastrophes.
